Alex Schiavoni has over 20 years’ experience in a broad range of earth science industries, including soil and groundwater characterisation, contamination and remediation, mineral exploration, and mining and geotechnical engineering. The majority of his work has been in groundwater projects involving development of conceptual site models, site strategies and cleanup plans, environmental site assessments, UST excavation assessments, remediation conceptual design and implementation, and LNAPL mobility and recoverability assessments. He also has significant experience in industrial site decommissioning and demolition including the development of decommissioning and demolition management plans, concrete and debris management plans, environmental management plans, waste classification, materials management and beneficial reuse assessments. Alex has also worked extensively on oil-and-gas projects in Australia, with a focus on hydrogeological conceptual site models, drilling mud and fluid risk assessments, drilling mud and fluid waste management, and beneficial reuse assessments and development of operating procedures. Over recent years, Alex has been working on numerous contaminated land and waste projects within Australia and USA.
