Andrew Miano is an aquatic biologist and Associate Fisheries Professional (FP-A) with over five years of consulting experience conducting ecological assessments. Much of Andrew’s experience is in fish-and-wildlife ecology and management, including environmental risk assessment and sampling on a variety of ecological and fisheries projects.
Andrew’s specific areas of expertise include data collection and interpretation for metals, VOCs, PCBs, PAHs, PFASs, and other environmental contaminants in aquatic and terrestrial systems. He has eight years of work-related boating operation experience and has served as safety coordinator and HAZWOPER site supervisor for several projects. He also has strong fish, invertebrate, and aquatic plant collection and identification skills and is knowledgeable in data collection, statistical analysis, figure production, environmental modeling, report writing, and other aspects of ecological risk assessment. He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from tracking fish migrations in the Arctic to studying the impacts of mercury in river systems.
