For over two decades, David Dangerfield has worked as an environmental consultant primarily within New Zealand and NSW, Australia, providing clients with expertise in contaminated land assessment, due diligence auditing, and property risk and hygiene. Throughout his career David has provided sound advice and technical guidance to central government, regional, and territorial authorities in various areas of contaminated land. In addition to serving as project manager for various clients, he also has experience in the assessment and remediation of asbestos in soil, including the application of risk-based guidelines for the development of pragmatic solutions. He has also played a leadership role in several industry groups such as the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA), the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA), The New Zealand Asbestos advisory group (NZAAG) now the ALGA Asbestos Interest Group and WorkSafe NZ’s former Asbestos Working Group. Through this industry involvement and leadership David is able to make informed, practical decisions while still keeping people safe and protecting the environment.
