Evans Named to Pittsburgh Business Times 2015 BusinessWomen First Class
EHS Support’s Business Manager and Partner, Bethany Evans, has been named as one of Pittsburgh Business Times BusinessWomen First 2015 Class members.
The recipients were honored at an awards banquet held Thursday, March 12 at the Omni William Penn in downtown Pittsburgh. The BusinessWomen First – Women in Business Awards honor the region’s most influential businesswomen for both profits and nonprofits. They honor women from every industry and profession who have made a difference in their communities, blazed a trail for other women, and are leaving a mark on the western Pennsylvania business community.
During EHS Support’s aggressive growth from 2010 through 2013, Bethany was a key player in taking the organization from 14 employees to a fully functioning mid-sized environmental consulting firm.? Since her early involvement with the company, she has developed and integrated a highly active and effective Board of Directors, Virtual Communication Model, Organizational Network Analysis, HR Department, and an internal Business Services team that coordinate to provide the company and employees with the support they need to succeed, including administrative support, project coordination and assistance, Employee Mentoring and Success Plans, Knowledge Management Systems and IT integration, and Senior Management Strategic Planning and business operations meetings.
“Success stems from being informed, from knowing what you’re up against,” said Kenny Ogilvie, CEO of EHS Support.? “As a Partner in the company, the Lead Board Director, the Business Manager, Director of Human Resources, part of the senior management team for EHS Support, and a board member for a management consulting company, Bethany knows what companies are up against within and outside the industry and what it takes to be a healthy and thriving company.? When it comes to company growth and internal tactics, her innovative and perceptive strategies have created a dynamic and engaging identity for EHS Support.”
The 2015 BusinessWomen First Awards winners were selected by a panel of judges composed of winners of the 2014 awards program. More than 125 nominations were submitted late last year for this program. The Business Times has been presenting these awards since 2009.
“It is an honor to be named to the Pittsburgh Business Times BusinessWomen First Class of 2015,” said Evans. “I am blessed to be recognized among these outstanding women of Pittsburgh and am privileged to work with a group of really amazing people. This award is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of our entire team – a team that is comprised of over 50 percent women. We pride ourselves on positioning the company to be sustainable for the long-term to support our employees and clients, and the women of our company are a large part of that goal. ?I hope this recognition helps sustain that vision and is a source of encouragement for all of the remarkable women that are part of EHS Support, our clients, and communities.”
