Ask the Expert: Kevin Robinson

Kevin RobinsonKevin Robinson is a Senior Geologist and Team Leader for Allocation & Litigation Support. When he is not in the office, chances are you can find him spending time with his family exploring the outdoors.

What do you like best about the work you do?

The Litigation & Allocation Support team works with clients on complex, research-driven projects which often result in detailed forensic analyses. What I like best about being a part of this team is the ability to be creative in approaching and addressing client needs and working closely with my talented colleagues.

What are you currently working on?

Currently, I’m working on several confidential projects as a member of the Litigation & Allocation Support team. These projects allow me to apply my experience in sediment geochemistry to complex Superfund Megasites.

How can our clients benefit from this service/particular innovation?

When working on a project, it’s important to understand the story of a site. We are experts at assessing the potential environmental impacts of a facility’s historical operations and understanding how any past releases may or may not contribute to future remedy costs.

A little-known fact about you?

After grad school, I spent a year as a rock climbing/trekking guide in the highlands of Guatemala.  I regularly hiked to active volcanoes and was lucky enough to witness numerous eruptions. All the proceeds from our trekking service were donated to a local orphanage and school.  We also supported the local climbing community and helped establish new climbing routes for the next generation of Guatemalan climbing enthusiasts.
