Nick Barclay is a licensed professional engineer with a decade of experience in engineering project management, design, system installation, and operations and maintenance. He has worked with both private and public sector clients, including federal entities, such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and U.S. Department of Energy.

What do you like best about the work you do?

I enjoy solving problems that result in the improvement of the health of the environment.

What are you currently working on?

Currently, I’m completing investigation and remediation work for a property transfer for a major industrial mining and explosives manufacturer. I’m also conducting groundwater investigation/monitoring for a global chemical company, as well as process and stormwater management for a railway infrastructure solutions provider.

As a consultant, what’s the most important skill you leverage to provide positive outcomes for your clients?

Communication, without a doubt. Focusing on active and proactive communication with the client throughout the duration of a project is the most significant thing we can do to ensure successful project outcomes.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Mountain biking in the Boise foothills. I love being in nature and enjoying the outdoors.
