Employee Spotlight – Beth Hesse

Beth Hesse serves as Senior Compliance Specialist for EHS Support.

How did you become interested in this line of work?

I took a gap year after high school and spent time in the Pacific Northwest building backcountry hiking trails, which solidified my passion for the environment. During college, I explored a few different options and found a local environmental consulting firm that further confirmed this was a practical way to protect and promote stewardship of our environment.

What are you currently working on?

My team and I are working with an exciting client on a large (30+ site) due diligence project that demands dynamic project management on top of project execution and client management.

What do you love best about your career?

I love the people I work with, both within the company and our clients, as well as the travel. I try to explore new restaurants if I’m in a city for work. I’ve also been known to find some local music spots while traveling (before the pandemic, that is).

When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

I enjoy gardening, cooking, eating out in Asheville and the surrounding areas, and hiking. I hope to squeeze in some more backcountry camping this year.
