On Thursday, June 23, EHS Support’s Project Risk Assessor and Data Analyst Chrissy Peterson will serve on a panel of experts for the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) Soil Background and Risk Assessment (SBR) live webinar. Attendees will watch training videos developed for the ITRC SBR guidance document. Afterward, they will have the opportunity to present their questions to a panel of four industry experts, including Peterson.
The ITRC SBR guidance document was released in December 2021 and provides a comprehensive defensible framework for establishing and using soil background in risk assessments. The document’s target audience includes risk assessors, risk managers, and site investigators; federal, state, tribal, and various local agency employees; contractors to these agencies; and potentially liable parties and their consultants.
Peterson has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting. In her current role, she performs human health risk assessments in the US and internationally and acts as a liaison between clients and regulators to evaluate potential risks to receptors to support risk mitigation, remediation, and closure decisions. Peterson assisted with development of the ITRC SBR guidance and is actively participating in the development of training modules.
