On February 25, 2026, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) announced an extension of the mandatory greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting deadline for Reporting Year 2025. The deadline has been moved from March 31, 2026, to October 30, 2026.
USEPA issued this extension in anticipation of finalizing its September 16, 2025, proposal to permanently remove GHG reporting requirements for 46 source categories. The additional time will allow for any final changes to be reflected in 2025 submissions.
